Movies Have Become Favored Pastime

Movies have become preferred enjoyment. They have found acceptance as favored fun. A movie is popoularly known as film, cinema and motion picture also. It has become one of the leading forms of entertainment along with music and games.
United States of America is the number one producer of films in the world. Hollywood has become the largest centre for movie production. India has become the second largest cinema producing country. Mumbai is the centre. It is named as Bollywood after the name Hollywood. Bollywood Movies also enjoy world wide fame.
Successful actors of the films instantly acquire celebrity status. Money and fame comes easily to them. They become highly sought after people by media and press. Lead actors contribute greatly in making a film successful. Story, direction and music are other important factors.
Cinema enjoys popularity world wide. Its demand is increasing as it has reached the towns and villages of almost all countries through out the world. Television and video players have helped to a great extent in increasing its reach many fold. They have probably reduced the theatre business. Compensated well by increasing its reach.
New technologies also help to increase viewing pleasure. Dvd movies played on dvd players give digital sound and display qualities. A dvd movie enhances the watching pleasure. New discoveries of blu ray and hd dvd discs will add further to boost the viewing joy. They will give a theatre like display and sound quality.
There are many awards like oscar, emmy and golden globe to give recognition to the motion picture industry. They are held every year. Awards for best movie, actor, director, music and artists are given. Selection is based on popularity, movie reviews by eminent personalities and organizations and many other factors. A favorable movie review goes in favor while unfavorable goes against it.
